World Book Day
Published 10/03/23On Thursday 2nd March, the children at school spread much joy and excitement as they dressed up to celebrate World Book Day. The children donned their best dress-up costumes of characters from their dress-up costumes of characters from their favourite books, bringing lots of fun and colour into the School. The was array of different characters from so many different books and also from different historical periods. All the children looked fantastic as we are sure you will agree!

TFL Safety and Citizenship Project
Published 09/03/23In the TFL Safety and Citizenship Project, the children gained the skills to deal with a wide range of emergency situations and also gained understanding on how to contribute to their community through good citizenship. The experience provided children with realistic scenarios and encouraged them to think through the problems and resolve them. Children enjoyed every session and were happy to share their knowledge with both their peers and professionals.

STIXX Workshop
Published 03/03/23On Friday 24th February, the Year 6 children took part in the STIXX workshop. With the exciting opportunity to create towers solely from recycled newspaper and cable ties, the children adopted innovatory methods to construct a tower stable enough to stand freely with the least amount of newspaper rods. With many creative ideas blossoming, the children succeeded in building multiple stable towers by feeding rolled up newspaper through the STIXX machine, which turned the paper into solid poles! All of the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the workshop.

Art Lesson - Year 4
Published 03/02/23On Friday 20th January, pupils in Year 4 learnt how to weave during their Art lesson. This was done to improve their understanding of the Viking lifestyle, which is a topic that they are learning about this half term in History and Geography. The Vikings were skilful weavers who produced top-quality warm textiles. The children were very excited to learn this new skill. As a result of them working in pairs, they also got the opportunity to apply their collaborative skills that they have been learning in PSHE.

Electricity Project - Year 6
Published 27/01/23Pupils in Year 6 enjoyed learning about electricity. They engaged in an interactive presentation about the science and history of electricity. The activity also involved creating circuits using various electronic components.The activity aims to improve pupils’ knowledge and understanding of electricity whilst at the same time enhancing their practical making and problem-solving skills as well as embedding learning of: Conductors and insulators, Circuit diagrams and electronic symbols, Circuit components including switches and buzzers and Circuit design and problem solving.

Young Voices Concert
Published 24/01/23On Tuesday 17th January, some of the Year 5 children travelled to the O2 Arena to take part in the Young Voices concert. The children have been rehearsing hard since October last year. The children continued to show their determination and dedication to the choir all the way through. Their hard work was rewarded and paid off when they are able to perform at the 02 in front of thousands of audience members. The children were swept away with the electric atmosphere at the 02, showcasing their dance moves to the best of their ability and singing at the top of their lungs. It is fair to say, everyone that attended the choir had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed the entire concert.

Nursery Activities
Published 13/01/23The Nursery children have returned to school after the Christmas holidays and jumped straight back into various activities. The children used the interactive whiteboards to practise writing different sounds they have learnt, engaged in sensory play using the sandpit and soft foam, and attempted various Mathematics games to develop and reinforce basic numeracy skills. They were all thrilled to return to Nursery and were ecstatic to see their friends!

FREE Asthma Workshops
Published 09/01/23MyHealth are running FREE Asthma workshops for parents who have children with Asthma. These sessions are run by the Hillingdon Hospital asthma nurses giving you the chance to learn from health professionals and to ask them questions directly. Some of the content included in these sessions is asthma attacks, asthma triggers, in techniques and asthma action plans.
The workshops are run online via ZOOM from 4:00pm to 5:00pm and you can register your FREE place here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/myhealth-asthma-workshop-for-parents-children-tickets-191548726397
They are taking place on January 16th, February 6th and March 6th.
