Natural History Museum Trip – Year 4

To consolidate their knowledge on topics related to their classwork, the Year 4 pupils visited The Natural History Museum. The museum is divided into four different zones, each offering a unique learning experience. In the Orange Zone, pupils learned about real science in the Darwin Centre and got close to a range of soft bodied specimens (fish, reptiles and amphibians). In the Blue Zone, pupils explored the skeletons of different animals. Pupils were amazed at the life-sized blue whale model. In the Green Zone, pupils walked beneath the skeleton of the largest
animal on earth, a 120 million-year-old Mantellisaurus. In the Red Zone, pupils explored the evolution of life on our planet. Overall, the pupils had a fun-filled day of exploring.
