On Monday 13th February, children were invited to take part in an English and Mathematics booster morning. They took part in various fun and engaging activities which helped to further support and embed their learning.
The Year 5 mathematics team leaders encouraged and supported their teams to be resilient in solving mathematical problems. Children enjoyed work in the small groups with their leaders.
On Friday 20th January, pupils in Year 4 learnt how to weave during their Art lesson. This was done to improve their understanding of the Viking lifestyle, which is a topic that they are learning about this half term in History and Geography. The Vikings were skilful weavers who produced top-quality warm textiles. The children were very excited to learn this new skill. As a result of them working in pairs, they also got the opportunity to apply their collaborative skills that they have been learning in PSHE.
