Children Return to School! 8/06/20
On their first week back, pupils had the opportunity to develop an understanding and appreciation for a classical Art form - Sculpture. Sculpture has a long history and the human figure has been the key subject since the earliest times. Pupils made appropriate use of specific tools by creating self-portraits out of clay. They grasped the uniqueness of three-dimensional Art and participated in an engaging, tactile experience by exploring the feelings and emotions that are displayed in the human face. It was a stimulating outdoor lesson for our children that enthused them and encouraged their individual creativity and imagination, as they maintained social distancing.
